During the time that my mother lived in Pembroke Pines, I saw an article somewhere that said that the most dangerous intersection was right there. So I figured that they knew my mother.
With the exception of a business trip a few years ago, I haven’t been back to Florida since 2003, when we moved Grandma from Orlando to San Antonio, where we lived at the time, a couple years after my grandpa Mike passed away. Fond memories.

Western NC is beautiful, and there are quite a few Florida refugees here. Of course, they thought they were getting away from hurricanes....
